  • EVERY PARENT’S CALL TO DISCIPLE THEIR CHILD: The why, how, when, and where  - Led by Mike Doty

Have you ever been assigned a job or task that you felt unable to accomplish? The problem wasn’t your desire to accomplish the task, but you just felt unqualified or untrained. Discipling your child may be one of these areas you desperately want to do well, but you just don’t feel qualified. Parents or a parent, regardless of the age of your child, is welcome to come to this eight week study to build & strengthen your knowledge & skills in discipling your child. We will examine together the various locations in the Bible that give guidance on dicipling, especially to parents, and provide numerous opportunities for sharing & questions about parenting. No book is necessary other than the Bible and a journal for notes. Please prayerfully consider taking this class. I am looking forward to our time together learning & growing in our call to disciple our children.

Here’s a couple of truths we will be exploring: 1) ‘We’re not good enough-and never will be’...look at Christ’s righteousness that has been given to us. 2) ‘We’re possessed (by the Holy Spirit)-and that’s a good thing’...look at who the Holy Spirit is and how to cooperate with Him.

  • How To Share The Gospel (out loud with words) - Led by Keith Byler

The Great Commission Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV)

“Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

We know Jesus gave us The Great Commission as THE task for all Believers; but in our culture, how do we actually accomplish it?! This class is a training course on how to have gospel conversations with family, friends, and strangers we meet. Sharing the gospel can be frustrating when you know you should do it, but have no idea how to even bring it up in conversation.

Here are some of the topics we will cover in training:

    • What exactly is the Gospel?
    • How to tactfully, yet boldly, bring the Gospel into a conversation
    • How to present the Gospel out loud with words
    • How to tell your personal story in a few minutes
    • How to defend your faith and the Bible

We will be taking an in-depth look at this amazing book in the Bible, Ruth. We will trace the Promise of God’s Seed and His plan for REDEMPTION through the entire book. The testimony of Ruth gives us an excellent example of how to live a Righteous life! The goal is to be transformed by these truths and become more like Jesus.
